AIRCRAFT EXPLORER
Aircraft types, from their data sheets. Engines, weights, fuel, seats and airspeed limits for common trainer and touring aircraft. Every figure is quoted from a stored type certificate data sheet, and its source is one click away. Compare two or three aircraft or learn the instruments .
Performance figures (stall speeds, take-off and landing distances, climb, cruise and fuel burn) are in the aircraft's flight manual (POH/AFM), which we cannot reproduce. Always use the flight manual for the aircraft you fly.
24 data sheets: 21 from the US Federal Aviation Administration and 3 from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. 6 of the FAA sheets are earlier revisions, and each of those pages says so. FAA sheets are US certification documents, and we show them as that, not as Australian or New Zealand rules. The CASA sheets are scans read by OCR, so we use only their clean lines.
