COMPARE AIRCRAFT

Two or three aircraft, side by side.

Pick the models, then compare the figures each data sheet gives. The page address keeps your choice, so you can share it.

Pick at least two aircraft to see them side by side.

For example: Cessna 172S, Piper PA-28-161 and Diamond DA 40, or three twins: Seminole, Duchess and DA 42 NG.

Performance figures (stall speeds, take-off and landing distances, climb, cruise and fuel burn) are in the aircraft's flight manual (POH/AFM), which we cannot reproduce. Always use the flight manual for the aircraft you fly.

For learning only. Not for flight planning or use in flight. Each column keeps its own sheet's units and airspeed basis, so check those before you compare two figures. Some figures are for each engine, each tank or each wing, and some engine ratings apply only for a few minutes at take-off. The words beside a figure say so. FAA sheets are US certification documents, not Australian or New Zealand rules. Conversions marked “converted” are our own arithmetic. Quotes come from our stored text copies of the sheets, which mark table cells with |. Check the original sheet before relying on any figure.
